Frequently asked questions

  • A woman in workout clothes sitting on a yoga mat, smiling and laughing in a room with sunlight streaming in.

Im not very flexible - do you have to be flexible for yoga?

This is such a common question & thankyou for asking. The answer is NO you do not have to be flexible. Yoga is not about flexibility, it is about the journey within more than anything else. Not about what you look like ❤️ Everyone’s body is different and unique and all are perfect as they are

  • A woman practicing yoga outdoors on a grassy field with tall trees and cloudy sky in the background.

    I haven't got a yoga mat - can I still join?

Of course! Yoga mats are not a must. If you were to do Yoga often do help for comfortability as well as grip to the floor.
If you don’t have a yoga mat - try a flat rug or towel that will also do, don’t let not having a yoga mat be an obstacle, it really is no problem❤️

  • A woman practicing yoga indoors on a green mat, performing a side stretch pose with one arm raised overhead and one hand on her leg, wearing a red sports bra and blue shorts, with plants and a Buddha statue on the window behind her.

I have never tried yoga before - is that ok?

All of my events are beginner friendly. Alternatives will be provided because every body is different. Please don’t worry, lots of other beginners join too so your not alone! ❤️

  • A young woman with light brown hair and freckles, wearing a red sleeveless top, smiling and resting her chin on her hand in a room with plants and a window

I don't have Yoga clothes - is that a problem?

Yoga clothes are whatever you feel comfortable in. As long as you can move for body freely and you are going to be nicely ventilated! - a pair of pajama’s, jogging bottoms, a baggy top - whatever floats your boat as long as you check off the above, will be absolutely fine ❤️

Do I have to have my camera on for online sessions?

Absolutely not for Workshops! You always have the power of choice in our workshops. If this time you feel like you don’t want to be on camera, that is more than ok! The choice is always up to you and you can decide that on the day - no pressure ❤️
If you are working with me 1-2-1, we do, do these sessions with a camera on ❤️

  • What does Trauma-Informed teaching mean?

Trauma-informed teaching means that I have been trained to teach yoga in a different manner to help people who have experienced trauma, feel comfortable, confident to be there and feeling like you always have a choice in the class. This type of class involves non Yogic terminology to eradicate the potential of triggers. Please note it does not mean I am a qualified therapist or counsellor, just qualified in making a yoga class a safer space.
Trauma-informed classes will be clearly marked, so you know that these classes will have different terminology and potentially shapes than traditional yoga ❤️
